COVID-19 Testing
We are now offering specimen collection and rapid testing (while supplies available) in all three locations for COVID-19 testing. If you have any concerns for COVID 19 symptoms, exposure or need school / work clearance, please contact our office at 843-766-6308 for more details. Your doctor will work with you to determine which test is best for your family’s situation.
COVID-19 Updates
At Neighbors Pediatrics, we are committed to our patients, our staff, and our community’s health and safety. During this time, we have implemented several changes within our practices to keep everyone healthy and safe. Please see below for information that we feel will be helpful to you.
We continue to see sick concerns during this time of year, including but not limited to, influenza, stomach bugs, allergies, and colds, to name a few. While kids are not the most vulnerable group for the COVID-19 virus, we recommend keeping them home to protect the spread of the virus to those who are at risk. If your child is sick and needs to be seen by a provider, we are scheduling appointments accordingly to ensure safety and encourage “social distancing”.
Sick Appointments
In treating our patients for sick appointments, we ask that you stay in your vehicle until a room is ready for you. Call us at 843-766-6308 when you arrive for your appointment. Include your child’s name and office location. We will instruct you with the next steps.
Telehealth Appointments
We are also offering telehealth appointments for appropriate types of patient visits. These include but are not limited to the following list of approved telehealth visits. If you have any questions about these or any symptoms, please contact the office at 843-766-6308.
You will need to register for telehealth appointments prior to the appointment time. Please make sure you call and speak with a staff member so we can ensure you are registered and ready for the scheduled telehealth appointment.

At Neighbors Pediatrics, we are maintaining a healthy environment for our patients and staff. We have listed below helpful information to provide you with the best care. We encourage you to keep your well-child appointments. We are taking all necessary precautions to ensure we keep our families and staff in a healthy and safe environment. We have designated certain appointment times for well appointments. If your child is scheduled for a well check and has any of the following symptoms of illness, including fever, cough, and congestion, we may need to reschedule the well check appointment. At Neighbors Pediatrics, our utmost concern is keeping all office areas sanitary for our patients, family members, and our team. We have stringent daily sanitization procedures that we continue to follow along with additional deep and frequent cleaning of all public and team areas. We strongly encourage additional family members to stay home during this time. We do understand that this is not always possible, so we thank you in advance for doing what you can to limit in-office visits to the patient and one guardian. Please do not bring anyone in our office who has been in close contact with anyone who has a fever, cough, or has been exposed to the virus. These measures will help decrease the overall number of people in our offices and will help protect your family and our team. You can practice healthy habits at home, school, and play to protect against the spread of COVID-19. Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Follow these five steps—wet, lather (make bubbles), scrub (rub together), rinse, and dry. You can sing the “Happy Birthday” song twice. Keep your hands out of your mouth, nose, and eyes. This will help keep germs out of your body. Keep things clean. Older children can help adults at home and school clean the things we touch the most, like desks, doorknobs, light switches, and remote controls. (Note for adults: you can find more information about cleaning and disinfecting on CDC’s website). Cough or sneeze into a tissue or your elbow. If you sneeze or cough into a tissue, throw it in the trash right away. As always, we appreciate your patience and support as we continue to ensure the health and safety of our patients, our staff, and our community.Cleaning Procedures
